He only disarmed Stan Shunpike. Before that he sent 'stunner after stunner' at some of the black-robed attackers, as well as Impedimenta. And we are told that some of the attackers fell. He must have killed at least 3 people in this battle, IIRC. Hagrid also killed one or two, Ron stunned Rodolphus Lestrange in midair (so must have killed him too), and Kingsley may have killed one of the five that attacked him and Hermione.
