For anyone who's curious, the plot of the play has been discussed in spoilery comments at the following links:

Source 1

Source 2

Source 3 UPDATE: Snitchseeker took down their spoilers as JKR called out another website for doing the same and TPTB have been contacting people to request they don't post any details. *eyeroll*

But never fear, Andrew Sims of Hypable (whom JKR called 'Wormtaily' for betraying the secret, lmao) linked to a cohesive recap of the entire two-part play.

When I first read about this, I thought it was someone trolling, but there's multiple sources? Either there's a conspiracy afoot or it's legit, IDK what to believe!

What kind of crappy fanfic, lmao! A Time-Turner plot, seriously? To save CEDRIC DIGGORY, of all people, wtf?

How shitty that anti-Slytherin prejudice is still going strong to the point that Albus is ostracized for being sorted into Slytherin. :/

Cackling at Ron & Hermione never getting together as a result of the temporal shenanigans, hehe. But I'm pissed that her being single results in her becoming a bitter Hogwarts teacher as opposed to happily married Hermione being the Minister of Magic, the implications there are pretty gross.

I can't even process everything I just read. Wow. JKR should be fired from her own world, just what even.

Black constellation-theming meets all the care over Latin we'd expect based on the spells in this series. (Also, "hir" is a non-binary pronoun; an FtM trans person would use "he" and an MtF trans person would use "she".)

Hermione is teaching Defense because it was always her weakest subject.

I can kind of believe that: Hermione seems the type who'd angrily throw herself into a subject she knows isn't her strongest, just to prove she can triumph in it.

From my conversation experience I've also learned: "Hir" can also be used when you're simply not sure of the person's gender, even if it's binary; also I've seen a lot of cases where trans people prefer the pronoun "they". Long story short: F@&k you and your mistakes, there's no such thing as an honest mistake, and you should grovel like a biatch whenever you make one, because trans people are so presecuted in real life misgendering them is tantamount to murder. #NotEntirelySarcastic

... okay, that was unexpected. In any case, the OP specified genders for the hypothetical trans Delphinus; perhaps I should have said "most likely", but wow. I'm really not sure how you got "there's no such thing as an honest mistake" out of my comment.

Yikes, my bad! To clarify: none of the frustration I expressed was directed against you or anyone else on this thread. It was partially a projection of the "burn" I have recieved myself from unwisely talking about trans people's pronouns with some less-than-forgiving people (hence the "no such thing as an honest mistake [you're simply being transphobic!]" bit), and also from the "burn" I've seen other people undergo in similar conversations where things got blown out of proportions. The usage of "you" in my grumble-rant was a broadstroke thing and not meant to mean anyone in particular, least of all you. 🤕 And I'm sorry that my overall bad attitude has turned even the stuff I wrote before the "long story short" (which was just adding to your comment, unless you think it was condescending) short-tempered.

Ah, right. Honestly, French has a perfectly good general-you pronoun, why couldn't English have stolen that? (And no, I don't see anything condescending in the stuff before "long story short", for what it's worth.)
