All right, I've closed the poll and it looks like we've got a 6-4 majority in favor of dealing with the miscellaneous bits first and then going back to an in-depth look at Severus himself. So I should be posting something for that fairly soon - I'm working on writing it up now. Thanks for voting!

I've got some of the Severus material laid out as well, so I can post that as it gets done piece by piece. It's all just ridiculously tangled up in a big ball, is the problem, and there are many threads to trace. Particularly once we start dealing with his relationship to Voldemort. (It's quite interesting to go back and re-read the scenes in which they interact directly, few though they are, and look at all the details carefully.)

Not, of course, that I could ever wish for Severus to not be so beautifully complex. It just takes a little time to uncover all his secrets.

He wouldn't have it any other way, of course.

Quick Poll RE Indestructible - which post do you want next?

So, I'm pulling together the concluding pieces of my "Indestructible" series, in order to lay out my two readings of Severus' arc in HBP and DH. And I'm not sure which one to finish up and post next - some of them are a bit like independent cards that can go in any order, though others need to stay together.

So I figured I'd toss the question out to all of you: which piece would you be most interested in seeing next?

The cards I have left to lay out are:

A - Occlumency - its nature and how Severus uses it (probably not a hugely long post)

B - Some assorted brief explorations of love, purity, and the Tower and Cave opposition, etc. (probably all in one post)

C - A three-card set that has to go up either in order or as one very long post (which will take a while to finish):

1 - Severus' fundamental values and character, and how he ended up a DE

2 - Severus' boggart

3 - Severus and Voldemort

D - Our necessarily final card, tracing out the exact course of Severus' arc in my dual readings
