I'm endlessly baffled by people who choose this as an example of Harry choosing what's right over what's easy (to paraphrase DD). I mean, sure, it might have been the right thing to do (although it certainly wasn't prudent), but as for it not being easy? Puh-leeze. What difficulties does Harry have of saying the first thing that pops into his mind? None, that's what. It's what he wants to do--it's practically his modus operandi. Now, if he'd manage for once to keep his temper in check...
