Oh yeah! Duh, you're totally right. I think JKR's trying to explain why Harry's never played Cho before even though he's in his third year on the team.
It's the first time he plays against Ravenclaw. 1st year he was knocked out by struggle with Quirrellmort, 2nd year the games were canceled after Hermione got petrified. (Though there was an entire month after Harry killed the basilisk, the school could have held a compressed tournament.)
