Ugh, there's no point even trying to figure out that ridiculous plot point. What's insulting is that it was ever conceived and then actually published. How dumb does she think fans are, FFS? It left a gaping hole in wandlore and rendered everything that happened in the previous books irrelevant...but this is the woman who decided to attack the very foundation of her series by making it possible for someone to be their own Secret-Keeper. *eyeroll*
