There was a fan theory according to which the note Barty used was torn from a piece of homework, so it had Harry's name in his own writing. However the name of the school had to be in Barty's writing, so unfortunately this theory is dead.
Many of Barty's teachers are still around - Minerva, Filius, probably others. (And it helps that Barty had 12 OWLs - many teachers knew him. If he took Divination for NEWTs even Sybil may have seen his hand writing.) Albus could have asked around if any teacher recognized the writing, but that would reveal that this was a serious plot rather than a prank of some kind (because of the name of the 4th school). Looks like Albus didn't trust his staff with such information.
