Next magical magic creature...
Erumpent
MOM Classification: XXXX
This magical creature is badass- a giant rhinoceros that makes things explode using the horn on its head! It can make pretty much anything explode if it charges, but fortunately it’s not particularly aggressive and will rarely attack people unless sorely provoked. However, this horn is not especially practical in all cases, since male Erumpents will explode each other during mating season, thus keeping their numbers low. That’s one way to control the population I guess.... Although after awhile you start to ask some awkward questions: presumably a particularly good fighter would kill any other males around. So... wouldn’t that lead to an awfully uniform gene pool, if females couldn’t choose between multiple mates because all but one was dead?
Anyway, there is a market for Erumpent horns, tails, and the stuff in the horns that makes things explode, though they’re carefully controlled. In DH Xenophilius Lovegood kept an Erumpent horn in his house because he thought it belonged to a Crumple-Horned Snorkack. This did not end well.
