And hey, I was joking, being not exactly the poster girl for smut, and kind of resenting your (not really in the spirit of polite debate) 'Some people in fandom'comment.
I do however seriously wonder if Draco would go back to Voldemort - I mean, just on a gut level, he's terrified of the dude and by now clued into the fact that Voldemort was just looking for an excuse to get rid of Lucius Malfoy's kid. It's not like Voldemort is renowned for his reasonable good nature, and is likely to say at once 'Marvellous job apart from that, little Malfoy! Have a lolly.' It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he would go to Voldemort, I'm just saying that there's a good argument for him choosing not to, since Voldemort is a lunatic with a grudge against his family and all.
Ditto Snape. Who said anything about tossing Draco into the big scary world? Check canon: Draco got out of Hogwarts first. Draco Apparated way before Snape did. While he might well be with Snape, he also had a perfectly good opportunity to get clear of Snape and go off anywhere he wanted, and there's also a good argument for that, since Draco is shown to be pretty frightened by actual death, and Snape just killed a dude right in front of him. Draco is also shown to be very concerned about his parents, and thus might be actively hiding from his mother, who would certainly try to protect him from Voldemort's anger. Though I'm certain she would search for him it is hard to find someone who doesn't want to be found.
Since there are these reasons (fear of Voldemort, fear of Snape, fear for his mother's safety) I think it's perfectly legitimate to worry about what is happening to Draco, plausibly canonically all alone in the great big world. Though of course, whatever does happen in canon, it won't be the rent boy road.
