Not you. I never said you said anything about Muggles. I don't know where you're getting that idea from. I never talked about Muggles until glorfindelghost brought the idea up.

Yeah, I was sort of hoping you were. And when I said 'some people in the fandom', I didn't necessarily mean you. I never read any of your writings, I only know from other people that they tend to revolve around the Harry/Draco pairing so I stay far away from them.
Unless you wish to debate how some people in the fandom ignore canon in favour of buttsmex, I really don't see why you need to take offense. Particularly since you seem to be implying that you're not one of those people.

Been awhile before I bothered with the book or that chapter, but didn't Snape tell Draco to run away?
There are arguments for everything, from what I'm seeing. However, if someone doesn't want to be found, I don't think they'd decide to just prostitute themselves with Muggles. Sirius Black didn't. Nor did Wormtail.
I would, personally, hope Draco would be smarter than Karkaroff and all the others that had run away from Voldie and were killed, but that's not my call to make.
I would also like to think that Draco would realize what Voldemort did to him. Since Voldie couldn't punish Lucius, he took it out on Draco instead. So wouldn't it make sense that if Draco wasn't around, Voldemort would make Draco suffer by taking it out on the one who he loves? That does seem to be the behavior pattern there. So while Draco may want to protect his mother, the only way open to him would be to take Voldie's wrath on his own head rather than let his mother suffer.
So that's the bit I'm not getting, that whole fear for his mother's safety and that's why he runs away.
