Sure, you could buy yourself a fancy racket and balls, but those will only do so much. You need both skill and training before you get anywhere near good, and ultimately it's entirely your ability that wins the game.
Yes, it's hilarious. And yet somehow when it's Harry nobody complains, even when the school itself has bought him the better broom. (They will, of course, get angry at the Slytherin team for having better brooms. Go figure.)
