Yeah, I don't think we really see enough of the historical data to say that the ww definitely had a higher percentage of women in power than in the Muggle world (which had some powerful medieval female rulers of its own, so you're right that just knowing one or two doesn't guarantee anything about the position of women as a group). Probably the most obvious place to see it would have been in the Slug Club flashback, where we saw a group of boys. Well, that and/or mentioning a family or two that had passed its name down through a woman and/or actually having a Pureblood making some snide comment about Muggle attitudes.
