it's always been interesting that literally none of Harry's friends ever met him with a clean slate, it's only Draco.
*nodnodnod* And why did JKR chose to write it this way? She could so easily have had Ron meet and strike up a conversation with Harry without knowing who he was, but, instead, everyone close to him approaches him either because he is Harry Potter or TBWL or both.
In my optimistic moments, I think this is surely has to be significant as far as the Draco/Harry relationship is concerned, but these moments are rained on by the black cloud of JKR's interviews.
