From what I understand, British elementary students don't study entire Bible books but mostly read select passages for their moral value. I don't think two literal sister wives bargaining for sex with their shared husband meets the grade.

In Israel we studied a neatly censored version of Genesis in 2nd grade (age 7-8). Since the relevant passage is about sex it was not part of the approved edition.
