An Excess of Ginny.

I was hoping there'd be a good deal more snark about the fabulous Ginevra Weasley. Still, early days yet :)

*Love the title, ducks. No, really. Looks like we know all about the ancient Greek idea of the "humours" of the body. Unfortunately, this has bugger-all to do with Fleur or, really, any of the characters at all. Ah well, can't have everything. Remember, before the book came out, one of the reported chapter titles was "You Have Your Mother's Eyes." I maintain that literally nothing could be worse than that. Mind you, that's probably book seven, right? :(

*Hermione's there too! Because as we know, we can't have two of the three without the other. Hermione's parents must have disowned her or something. It makes as much sense as anything else.

*Sluggy must be very old if he started at Hogwarts "around the same time as Dumbledore". Of course, Dumbledore insists that Sluggy is not as old as he is. Obviously, Dumbledore was doing something else before he became a teacher - otherwise, why not start young? I predict the Dumbledore backstory popping up in book seven.

*I thought there was a reasonable chance Arthur would be offered a promotion before I read the book (yeah, I know, anyone can say that with the book in front of them, but I did, really). I wasn't sure if he'd take it or not - I thought there might be some drama in which the untrustworthy Minister would offer Arthur a highly suspicious promotion that was bound to get him killed or something, and he'd nobly turn it down in favour of knobbing about with batteries and shit bravely defending Muggles and their culture. And then there'd be some big wossname standoff thingy and OMG WTF. But yeah, bit less exciting than that.

*Having said that, though, I wouldn't be wholly surprised if Rufus Deadinbookseven promoted Arthur so as to keep a better eye on him. After all, someone must have noticed how the Weasleys are like that with Dumbledore and the school etc etc. I would never call myself an expert, but surely you wouldn't want someone sitting on that much potential secret information to be tucked away where you can't see them. You'd want them bolded, highlighted and stuffed full of so much responsibility that they can't possibly cause any more than the bare minimum of trouble. Sure, it's sneaky and cynical, but we're talking politics here.

*I'd have to agree with Pacoman in that there's not much point to the clock now if it just points to "mortal peril". I can't see how that helps anyone. Surely they knew that already?

*Mollywobbles. Oh good grief.

*To be fair to Fred and George, they've never (as far as I recall) suggested selling something that was promised to have powers it didn't have. I mean, they did offer Neville a "Canary Cream" in the guise of a perfectly ordinary biscuit, but that wasn't promising him special powers, and nor did they get money off him for it. So if they were selling those medals, they'd probably be honest with the people paying them (even if they didn't give a shit what those people did with them afterwards).

*Hermione and Ron arrive, and Hermione goes into full mum mode, looking at Harry for classic signs of grief. I daresay she's been reading up on it.

*Oh stop it with the "We were thinking something but can't say it in case it makes Harry sad". Just get on with it and say what you want to say.

*Shut up Hello Ginny! Long time, no care :) I love the way nobody challenges her suggestion that Fleur (for it is she) is worse than Umbridge. Ginny is now Right.

*Once again, very delighted to see the return of the Phonetic French Accent. Adds so much stupidity to the story. Also, I must say, what exactly is the deal with all the females disliking Fleur? I mean to say, such well-adjusted and attractive ladies as those couldn't possibly be jealous of her, could they? After all, that's the sort of thing someone like Pansy Parkinson would feel, not noble Hermione or Ginny. Mind you, it's probably to do with Fleur's tricksy powers of Veela Glamour, rather than any kind of genuine attractiveness on her part. It's all tricks and lies! Probably.

*Another thought regarding Ginny: if she doesn't want her brothers poking their nose into her love life, she's really got no business poking her nose into theirs. Shut up, Ginny and leave Bill alone! Then maybe all your brothers will leave you alone and you can be sassy without interference.

*Tonks and Sirius barely knew each other, this is true. Sirius was also in Azkaban for most of Harry's life and never knew the family Harry spent the most time with. Just saying, you know.

*Ginny's long red hair, a feature of great importance. Harry's hair fetish touched upon once more. Yay, I guess :P

*It is far easier to forgive others for being wrong than for being right. But it's also quite hard to forgive people for suggesting that you don't deserve the promotion you got and that you're too stupid to see that you're being used. You go on with your bad self, Percy! You just go :)

*I'm sorry, I know that Harry finding out he's got to be the one to finish off Voldemort would be a shock if it were a realistic situation where one doesn't expect things like that to happen. But this isn't a realistic situation. We all knew this was what the outcome would be. Rather loses the dramatic pull when the story's obviously running along some very well-worn tracks.

*Blah blah blah OWLs blah blah Harry with seven blah blah Ron's were lowest blah blah Hermione v.v. clever. I suspect we're none of us exactly surprised. Shan't go into Harry possibly getting the best DADA mark, liek, EVAR for his totally 1337 patronus. Cuz I think we all know what we think about that.

*Oh Harry. You only can't think of anything else you want to be because you haven't thought about it at all. Someone said "Auror" and you were all "Dur, alrighty". Everyone knows that if you became an Auror, you'd probably be outraged that you have to follow rules and stuff. Or maybe you don't. Maybe you just have to show up and kill stuff. After all, Tonks got the job :/
