I think we see Hermione's fear at the end of the year - McGonagall telling her she had failed everything. Cute at the time but now I'm older I can see how it's really not funny at all.
And I agree about no one being scared of Death Eaters. I know they think they're safe now but surely one or two of them, especially kids with murdered family members, might be a little more worried about Azkaban outbreaks than banshees and eyeballs.
