What I find interesting here is that Ron is making it seem as though to the prejudiced Pureblood being Muggleborn = decreased magical ability and that's why the prejudiced act like they do. I do think if that's what Ron has been taught he's been sadly misinformed. I do remember that what Salazar thought about Muggleborns was that they were "untrustworthy" which is not exactly the same as "untalented". But I guess that is up in the air at the moment.
I do love the "what have you done for me lately ?" mentality of the wizarding world. It's all yeah, yeah, you may be decent, but what can you do with a wand ? So humane, this place. And not at all in need of total reform.
