Things did come to a screeching halt here for me too. As in, Whaaa? Is this the same HOG that Lucius clearly denied earlier? Even if Draco came about it later--was "the trio" once again spying on his shopping spree?
Well, maybe Lucius actually remembered what his kid wanted once Christmas came around, since he does appear to be the only normal, present father in canon.
