They probably would have had more kids as well, maybe girls, and Lily would doubtless have inflicted her self-consciousness about her fading looks/stretchmarks/wrinkles/bingo wings on them, as well as her resentment if they turned out to be growing pretty just as she was losing all that teenage tightness. And I can just imagine James being the kind of guy that chats up eighteen year old girls with really stupid lines, and perving over any pretty girls any of his kids bring home.
Although a good thing would be a reconcilliation of sorts between Lily and Petunia as Lily concedes that Petunia was probably right about James after all.
