Truth be told, I like Molly as a character. She has a lot of flaws but they seem presented pretty believably. Sometimes she's prejudiced or stupid but in a believable way. She did have good reason to feel threatened by Fleur but she gets over it. Unfortunately, as you say, for some reason Ginny's feelings apparently don't count. In the end it's as if it's only Molly who was wrong. Ginny has a moment of looking aghast because she doesn't get what she wants, but her own hatred of Fleur is still presented as just funny and probably justified because hey, Fleur's stuck up and French!
Which again, could be okay--maybe it's just not in Ginny's character to do any learning or growing. But unfortunately she just so stands out for me as a character who's constantly insulting and judgmental of everyone while being presented as a role model.
The only thing Hermione seems to have to learn with regards to her relationship with Ron is...well, nothing. Ron's the idiot for going out with Lavender. But Hermione's behavior towards him is never a problem, he never even has fun with Lavender outside of snogging. It's like he discovers she doesn't have a personality beyond being a background character. (Even Ginny gets somewhat real relationships with Michael and Dean, we assume.)
Rest assured it doesn't seem to me that Scrimgeor dies for what's right in the end, protecting Harry only because it's right and not because he cares about Harry the person and "Chosen One." He had to die because he was probably thinking of a more reasonable plan of action that didn't all depend on Harry.
