Yes, I had figured long ago that Snape must have obliviated the entire school in order to have them forget that Ginny and Harry were "the talk of the school" after that dramatic kiss.
The movie is smarter, since at the end of HBP, Harry and Ginny is a secret only the RoR knows about.
