And, really, would it have killed Dumbledore to keep Voldemort from getting the wand at all by having it snapped after his death? All this nonsense could have been prevented. And if it can't be snapped, have it tossed somewhere random. And place some other wand in the tomb to save Severus. Perhaps modify some memories as needed.
