***Dear Jo; snakes are not only deaf, so they can't hear you hissing to them, they have no eyelids so you can't see when they are asleep and big snakes are HEAVY. Metres of pure muscle. Voldie would be staggering halfway to the csatle.
And they only have 2 fangs. Also, they get immobile in cold temperatures.
