Pottermore stuff
Nov. 30th, 2013 12:45 pmI looked up the spoilers site, and it looks like they took down all the direct quotes from Pottermore after having being warned about copyright infringement. I suggest we take care. Summarizing or retelling new content should be OK, but no direct quotes.
Also, looks like GOF stuff is up. Can anyone tell us if there are any tidbits?

Date: 2013-12-01 03:28 pm (UTC)It all depends on Voldemort's wand. If the yew-and-phoenix-feather wand was the same one orphan boy Tom Riddle bought in 1938 then no, it does not work, because the current Ollivander remembers selling him that one. It only works if when Voldemort returned from his travels with his new identity he decided to get a new wand. And of course it means that the Ollivander Harry met in 1991 was under 60, yet he is described as an old man.
